I am handling selling old silver coins that belong to my elderly grandfather. He is moving into an assisted living facility and needs to liquidate some of his assets to pay for it. I jumped at the chance to help him out and see his huge collection up close and personal since as a child; I was not allowed to touch it.

I put up the first two auctions on Monday for selling old silver coins and set them to both last for seven days. The bids are already through the roof and I called my grandfather to tell him all about it. He sounds very excited and said that he knew that all that time collecting the coins would pay off some day. He just wished that my grandmother would have lived to see it, I guess that she hated that he spent so much time collecting coins.

I never knew that selling coins could be so lucrative but there is always a market for everything and the coin market is really doing well, despite the current state of the economy. More people should look into family coin collections if they have them and use them to help them out financially if it is needed.
