Keeping the Child Busy
Education May 21st, 2008As the child grows he wants to go out and explore. Parents do not like this idea and make sure that the child movement of the child must remain within the limits of their supervision. Nurseries or the pre-primary schools provide a dependable alternative.
The child finds a new place and new people to satisfy his curiosity and the parents too find it not only safe but also good for child development. Besides they are equipped with many toys and other objects which your child will find enchanting and enjoy his stay over there.
After returning from nursery or pre-primary school don’t burden your child with more studies. He has already done a lot of learning to read and learning to write in the nursery or pre-primary school. Let him enjoy some television programs, though you can exercise control over what he is watching. Control should be rather subtle. Exercising control over what he should not watch is better than prescribing what he should watch.
Don’t place so many “NO”s before your child. Find out the ways which can keep him busy. Buy some attractive books to read, some material for making different types of blocks. Let her try to do some coloring by bringing few coloring books and pastor-colors and watercolors. Let her express herself. It will lead to better development of her personality.
Saying NO doesn’t provide any alternative. Provide alternatives. Send her to any gym or swimming pool. This will be good for her health also. And, lastly, spare your time for her. Talk to her. Play with her.
